I love a simple snowflake! By the time I get around to crocheting snowflakes I usually already have a mile long To Do list prepping for Christmas.
So, the design has to be quick and easy. This snowflake can be hooked within minutes, enjoy!
- 4 mm crochet hook
- 8 ply (DK) yarn
NOTE: Written in Australian/UK terminology.
Ch 6, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 5, work 1 tr into ring, ch 2, * work 1 tr into ring, ch 2 rep from * 3 times, join with a sl st into 3rd ch of beg ch-5.
Rnd 2: Sl st into next ch-2 sp, ch 1, work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc into same sp, * work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc into next ch-2 sp, rep from * 4 times, join with a sl st into first dc.
Rnd 3: Sl st into ch-3 sp, ch 1, * work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 8, 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc into ch-3 sp, rep from * 5 times, join with a sl st into first dc.
Fasten off.
Re-join yarn into any ch-8 loop.
Rnd 4: ch 1, work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc into same sp, * ch 8, work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc into next ch-8 loop, rep from * 4 times, join with a sl st into first dc.
Rnd 5: Sl st into ch-3 sp, ch 1, * work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 10, 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc into ch-3 sp, ch 4, work 1 dc into ch-8 sp, ch 4, rep from * 5 times, join with a sl st into first dc.
