Well, that’s Christmas done, all over red rover for another year!

The tree we kept simple and just loaded it with shiny baubles. Not an ounce of tinsel in sight!

Christmas Eve I was washing, drying and stacking crockery. A few last minute presents were also quickly wrapped. The dining table got a coat of hi-gloss black paint a few days before along with the coffee table.

The table was set. This year I went with a ruby, aubergine, black and gold theme. I spotted the tablecloth at Big W, just the perfect colour I was looking for. The gold cutlery was an Ebay purchase. I searched high and low for the perfect mix of baubles and found them at Myer. The votive glasses and candles dotted through out were from Candelabra. The black napkins and crockery were purchased from Target.

The presents were placed under the tree just in the nick of time!

I love, love, love my vintage reindeers! They were an Etsy purchase from last year or the year before.

We had a full house filled with family. Nine for Christmas Day lunch, followed by fifteen for dinner. Gifts were gifted, scrumptious food was consumed, and beverages served, with christmas carols playing in the background. A merry time had by one and all!

Hope your Christmas was extra special too!
