I’ve been spending a few weekends in Sydney lately whilst teaching, and have been staying at The Sebel at Surry Hills. It’s perfect, 5 minutes from the studios and 5 minutes from the city. I especially love the fish swimming in the lobby!

And of the course the heated pool was love at first sight.

The rooms are spick and span with nice king size beds!

Dinner has been at the Townhouse Bar and Restaurant followed by a casual stroll amongst the bright lights of the city, then finishing the evening with a dip in the pool, a lovely way of unwinding after a day of teaching!

After filling up with a scrumptious buffet breakfast in the morning it’s time to head to the city. Central train station is virtually across the road, all too perfect, after purchasing a ‘city circle’ ticket it’s all aboard and into the city we go.

I like to get off at St James and then head straight to The Strand Arcade!

Where you’ll find one of my most favourite shops! Any guesses??

Yes! It would be the Alannah Hill store, I love to pop in for a look. Emma made a purchase yesterday, a pink fluffy beret along with a glitzy hair bow.

Next it’s on to David Jones for a look, I’m thinking I might model my purchase for you tomorrow, ’cause if anything it will make you laugh! stay tuned!

We then boarded the train again and headed for Circular Quay.

In front of the MCA was this structure, that I thought could do with a little yarn bombing!! Don’t you agree??

Now you can’t be in Sydney on a weekend without stopping at The Rocks Markets.

So much to take in, the food, the sights, the sounds!

That’s one mean pot of meatballs!

We love to snack on a fresh cob of corn while walking around the markets, don’t worry you don’t look out of place walking around with a huge cob of corn, you’ll find a lot of other people doing the same! Here’s Emma enjoying her cob.

We strolled across to the Opera House and took in the views too!

Then before we knew it it was time to head for the hills, back to the serenity of the country. In a perfect world I would love to own an apartment in Sydney and still have a place in the country. I do love the bright lights of the city, it’s a good thing I’ll be back there very soon!
