seafood + movies + chocolate

This Easter it’s been all seafood, movies and chocolate with a bit of jazz on the side.

With the boys away camping for a few days, we hit the movies, firstly seeing Dear John which I loved, followed by The Last Song. Miley Cyrus I don’t love but the story was a good one.

Next up it was The Time Traveller’s Wife, loved it too!

Chocolate bunnies seem to keep popping up all over the place this weekend.

I’ve also spent a bit of time skimming the pages of The New York Times.

I subscribe to the Times and have it delivered straight to my computer.

Another thing I’ve been doing over the last few days is focusing and preparing for an up coming interview.

Daunting to say the least because it’s been 20 years since I last had a job interview. Yes, 20 years! I’ve had to put a resume together which alone was a daunting exercise, since the majority of the last 20 years I’ve spent raising my children. But I pushed on and submitted my application and I now have an interview next week.

And what pray tell might I be applying to do, um yes, driving a vehicle similar to that in the photo below. What can I say, an opportunity was presented and I grabbed hold of it and ran with it.

I have no idea what the outcome will be, as basically I’ll be presenting myself as a blank canvas, but the moral of the story is, when an opportunity presents itself, take hold of it and give it everything you’ve got! With life you never know what lies ahead and in which direction you may find yourself traveling.

I’ve also got some exciting news on the crochet front which I’ll be able to share with you very soon. Lots going on behind the scenes, variety is the spice of life!

And below, I snapped a shot of my 10 year old the other morning, cruising the aisles of ebay whilst having breakfast, multi tasking, a sign of the times perhaps!

I hope everyone is having a relaxing Easter!

  1. Well, congratulations! Sounds exciting and I hope you do well with your interview. Interesting job. Completely NOT what I imagined you could do. You go girl!

I just got my first job after 9 years as a stay at home mom a month ago. Big change. Nerve wrecking at first but slowly getting into new routines and loving it. Good luck!

And, yes I had to browse through your Flickr album again… Wow, it blows me away every single time. Happy start on a cloudy and rainy day with with happy colours and happy creations. Now I am going to finish my blanket WiP, have a cup of tea and sit back and enjoy the fact that I am off work tomorrow too! Free time has just taken on another meaning.
    Ciao
