A pile of squares,
of the granny variety!
Joined into a tube,
and voila! one granny square lampshade cover!
It slips on and off easily for laundering.
The tissue box was looking rather plain and ordinary also,
but not for too long!
Crocheted rows of colour soon jazzed it up!
And being the ninth of June, means that twenty years ago today, I was married.
I was nineteen and so was he.
It’s been one big roller-coaster ride!
why don’t you post a pic of the bridal party (including bride of course!)…
My how far we’ve come……..

I love the lampshade…unfortunatly that won’t work for mine. However, my lampshades are homemade…by my mom 15 years ago and I still love them!

I love that you showed something for the home. My groom and I of 27yrs (as of this Sept) are moving into a home that we are currently buying. It was built in 1977 and still has original materials. We will slowly remodel room by room. I can’t wait to put these granny lampshades in my new (old) home!

Apparently, “the granny” is back in full force. lately I’ve been seeing crazy granny dresses, aprons, afghans, lamp shades (per you), and granny rugs coming out of the woodworks. While I’ve always been a fan of the granny, I think a fancier granny woks better for more modern day stuff! Love the ideas and pics tho!

the lamp shade is awesome! your work is so neat. i love granny squares and am in the process of making a scrap granny square blanket right now, but my squares aren’t nearly as neat and straight as yours. you are so talented!
