I collect vintage ‘granny’ clothes hangers at every opportunity. I just love the colours, so bright and cheery!
When I was in my twenties at one point I was knitting lace clothes hangers, yes, remember those with the eyelet lace. I thought I’d make a fresh batch of them, I’ll also pop a few in the shop.
So out I went in search of eyelet lace, and I found just the colours I was looking for!
And lots of colourful plastic coat hanger tubing.
Oh that looks amacing!
But requires that you can see them everyday.. would be a bad thing to put them into a closet!
Love the idea of putting tubes on the hanger!!
Sarah this is sure a walk down memory lane… I never made any of the eyelet lace hangers [no doubt cause it was knitting...] but recieved many over the years & just adore them… they are fabulous for coats etc as you know doubt know, they don’t leave a hanger mark in your garment but I’ve also found with the new wider necklines & soft [slippery] fabrics that these hangers are coming into there own again… Great Stuff… thanks… B
What a great idea! So colorful and inspiring. Might make one become more creative in putting together their outfits everyday too!
